We enjoyed our first staff zoom meeting with Rev. Dr. Matthew Burton! It was great to get to introduce ourselves to him and learn more about him and his family. We’ll see you in July Matthew!
Wherever you are this morning, we hope you will join us online for Youth Sunday! Our youth and youth Director, Stephanie, worked all week putting a wonderful service together for you. 162 east is live at 8:45am and our traditional is live at 10am on our website, Facebook pages, and YouTube.
We’re so proud of our 2020 seniors! We didn’t get pictures of them all but we loved being able to get yard signs to all 20 of our seniors! Thanks to Jenny Moran for designing them.
Unfortunately many churches and non-profits are being scammed right now. People are using false emails and using the names of our leaders. Our website and emails HAVE NOT been hacked, they are using fake email addresses. If you received a suspicious email from Rev. David Christy, please note: • Our staff would NEVER ask for money or any kind of financial assistance over an email. •Please be sure to VERIFY the email address. All of the staff’s correct emails end in @fumcgastonia.org and are posted on our website. •These are not our email signature. All of our email signatures (if used) have the UMC cross & flame on them. •PLEASE double check with us if you get any suspicious emails and NEVER send money through email or an address that you do not recognize.
Join us in collecting items for Crisis Assistance Ministry! The Rotary Club of Gastonia is doing a drive thru and drop off food drive on May 9 at Redeemer Lutheran Church.
